For The Widows in Paradise by Sufjan Stevens.

Today, my dear co-worker, Phil, played this song that I have heard many times as we were closing. I was reminded of a) how Sufjan can write some really beautiful music and b) how God wants to be near to us.

The latter is a comforting and rattling reminder. Comforting because I am loved, rattling because it means more than I know.

My response to this song today has been an aching deep within me. As I am nearing my internship with LiNK, I am increasingly saddened that there are places on earth where people do not have the option to seek the Person that has done everything for them.

Pray for freedom in North Korea.
